[용어] mixture 와 admixture 의 차이

population genetics에서는 mixture와 admixture를 구분 사용하는 경우가 많다.

일상에서는 이둘을 같은 의미로 쓰는 경우가 많은데, 

실제로는 admixture가 더 좁은 의미를 지닌다.

admixture의 접두사 ad-는 라틴어로 to, toward의 의미를 지니고 있으며, 

이는 결국 원래의 어떤것에 새로운 것이 더해짐을 의미한다.
